Generations Health Partners (GenerationsHP) selects Empliant to Power New Integrated Health Benefits and Health Care Management Program to Control Health Care Costs and improve Employee health and wellness.

Empliant software application helps integrate worksite wellness program with consumer driven health plan.

CHAPEL HILL, NC - July 1, 2011 - Empliant, Inc., announced today that GenerationsHP has selected Empliant's Qualifying Health Activities Reimbursement Software (QHARS) application to help manage GenerationsHP's integrated health benefits and health management medical plan for its growing client base.

GenerationsHP's innovative health management program assigns employees and family members to different levels of health plan reimbursement, based on participants completing periodic qualifying health management activities, such as a Health Risk Appraisal, Wellness Exam, Age-Based Health Management Screening, and Disease Management Screenings.

Using Empliant's self-service QHARS, participants enter their qualifying health management activity information as part of the annual online enrollment process. The QHARS calculates (in real-time) the plan reimbursement level for which the participant and each family member qualifies. Built-in workflow enables plan administrators to confirm and approve participant qualification.

The Center for Prevention and Health Services at the National Business Group on Health estimates that every $100 per employee invested in preventive services will produce a $300 return in averted treatment costs. With its proactive approach that integrates Health Benefits with Health Management, GHP expects its clients to reduce annual medical cost increases by more than 50 percent.
