AGFUND & WGIC Leveraging Commercial Capabilities for Climate Action with Africa
The overarching focus: Increase the role that geospatial and earth observation data, products and services, provided by the commercial sector, can contribute in advancing climate action in Africa. Document the degree to which these capabilities are already referenced in African Countries’ National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) and explore mechanisms for greater adoption and expansion of these technologies in NAPs yet to be developed. AGFUND and WGIC have joined forces to Collect Data and Share the Knowledge and Best Practices of the Commercial Space, Aerial and Terrestrial Geospatial Sensor Sectors providing data and tools for i) Disaster Resilience, - Focusing on Floods and resilient cities and ii) Agriculture - Focusing on Smallholder Farms. Please complete the following survey and provide your name and email at the end if you would like to be interviewed to discuss your thoughts in greater detail and you will receive this publication near the end of 2023.
